The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted a full-dress rehearsal at Hindon Air Force Station ahead of the Air Force Day parade scheduled for October 8.
The rehearsal is the final preparation for celebrations marking the 94th anniversary of the Indian Air Force.
Air Force Day is observed every year to commemorate the establishment of the Indian Air Force in 1932.
The occasion is marked in the presence of the IAF Chief and senior officers, showcasing the force’s operational capabilities and legacy.
The IAF was officially raised in 1932 as an auxiliary force of the Royal Air Force, with its first operational squadron established in 1933.
Since Independence, the Indian Air Force has played a significant role in several major military operations.
These include Operation Vijay, Operation Meghdoot, Operation Cactus and Operation Poomalai.
Over the decades, the force has developed its capabilities through modern aircraft, advanced technology, training and operational preparedness.
The IAF remains an important component of India’s defence framework, combining its operational legacy with modernisation and technological advancement.
The force continues to focus on rigorous training and advanced capabilities while also contributing to humanitarian missions and international cooperation.
The full-dress rehearsal at Hindon Air Force Station represents the final stage of preparation before the October 8 celebrations.
The event will mark another anniversary of the IAF and highlight its history, service and continuing evolution.
